The master's degree program in International Economy and Trade is a one-year program. The program offers master's students the following:

  1. Learning in a dynamic environment, as well as acquiring knowledge and skills in the field of international trade
  2. The knowledge and skills required for understanding international trade organizations and the accompanying legislatives required for offering services in the government and private sectors, as well as international organizations
  3. Extensive research about economic and commercial decisions, as well as current and future matters related to the development of international trade
  4. Comprehensive insight into global trade, international finance and strategies of promoting trade from national to regional to global levels
  5. The master's study program, International Economy and Trade, provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for management positions in fields of promotion of international trade and trade development, international trade organizations, diplomatic matters, trade chambers and government and private sectors


  1. Master's students will gain extensive insight and knowledge regarding functioning of international monetary and economic systems
  2. Master's students will be capable of evaluating advantages and limitations of multilateral trade agreements, in regards to decision-making and formation of contracts (agriculture, services, intellectual property, etc.)
  3. Master's students will learn to evaluate capabilities and limitations of formal implementation of human rights and environmental policies and the effects on global trade systems
  4. Master's students will learn to analyze problems and reach appropriate conclusions using qualitative and/or quantitative analyses
  5. Master's students will be capable of independent evaluation of research theories and critiques within the field
  6. Master's students will understand the process of negotiation and reaching agreements on free trade, as well as the effects of influence of state organizations and lobbying policies on trade systems
  7. Master's students will develop a strong understanding of the effects of international trade agreements and the adaptation of BiH trade policy via domestic legislative authority

Throughout their studies, master's students will be actively prepared for a career in the sector of international trade and politics. After successful completion of their studies, master students gain an accredited diploma in the US, the EU, Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina and are ready for leadership positions in various organizations, including government institutions, trade agencies, but also for work in diplomatic services. Graduates will have employment opportunities in non-governmental organizations in the country, as well as in international organizations.


International organizations, governmental institutions, private companies, enterprises, banks, trade missions, NGOs, international trade organizations, agencies for intellectual property, etc. Employment is possible locally, regionally and internationally.

Enrolling students are required to have a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
