As a result of a well-established relationship and cooperation, for the fourth time, AUBiH hosted American students from Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS).
During these couple of days, American students visited the American Embassy in BiH, where they had a lecture by Ken Zurcher from the Political Section; and the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (OHR), where they had a meeting with Bruce Berton, Principal Deputy High Representative.
Among many lectures at AUBiH, students had a lecture by Ambassador Jonathan Moore, Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH.
Besides program lectures, guest students also had an opportunity to attend the awarding ceremony for General James A. Adkins (ret.), who received an Honorary Doctorate by AUBiH at Army Hall in Sarajevo. After the ceremony, students had a lecture by Dr. Selmo Cikotić, Security Advisor to Member of the Presidency of BiH - Bakir Izetbegović.
AUBiH guest students also used the opportunity to learn more about Bosnia by visiting Srebrenica and taking a hiking trip to Bjelašnica.
AUBiH has a tradition of hosting students and professors from foreign universities, especially those coming from the United States. The programs AUBiH implements with other universities aim to familiarize foreign students with the political and economic situation through lectures at AUBiH, meetings with relevant international and domestic policymakers, NGO sector representatives and AUBiH students.
