His Excellency, US Ambassador Patrick S. Moon visited American University in order to celebrate, together with the students, a successful completion of final exams for the academic year 2011/2012. Students from Tuzla campus and campus additions from Banja Luka and Sarajevo gathered at American University learning centre in Sarajevo, to spend some time together and attend the US Ambassador's speech.
In his address, Mr. Patrick S. Moon explained the notion of the NATO and how important it is for Bosnia and Herzegovina to become a member of NATO: "The goal is to assist BiH and its citizens to achieve progress on the road to NATO membership. This will further build the democracy, improve the rule of law, enhance the economy, at the same time making this country a better, more prosperous place for all the people living here. Political leaders are not doing enough to improve the economic situation, although the economy and employment are issues of most importance for the citizens. The responsibility for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not only your political leaders', but yours as well."
Following the address, the US Ambassador was open for students' questions relating to this subject. After the address by the US Ambassador Patrick S. Moon, the University organized a farewell, with entertainment and barbecue, where students had an opportunity to spend time together, take photos and talk to Mr. Moon.
