Congressman Turner regarding Dayton

American congressman and until recently chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO, Michael Turner pointed out, once again the importance and expressed full support for BiH on its path to NATO during a meeting with the president of American University in BiH, Denis Prcić.

Congressman Turner in January 2011 took over function as President of the American delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and from December 2014 to November 2016 held the position of President of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO.
He pointed out that during his term of office in several occasions has met with Bosnia and Herzegovina officials and invited all entities of legislative and executive authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to contribute to the fulfillment of the commitments for the start of the implementation of the Action Plan for NATO membership (MAP).

"I am convinced that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the potential and capabilities to fulfill all the obligations that lie ahead on the road to NATO," said Turner. President of American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina took the opportunity to meet with current situation, in political and social sphere in BiH, to long-time friend.

Congressman Turner recalled the events 22 years ago when he was mayor of the American city of Dayton, which in 1995 negotiated the ending of the war in Bosnia. He pointed out that even then certain things seemed impossible, but the solution was found.

The congressman took the opportunity to announce a new visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina invited by President of the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
