Sarajevo, 20.05.2014. - Due to the unseen floods throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina that were caused by heavy rains and that resulted in great damages and endangered people and their properties, American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AUBiH) initiated actions in order to help families in the most affected areas.
EUFOR and students of American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina will today deliver humanitarian aid in Odžak to endangered families that are currently in collective centre.
Yesterday, students in Sarajevo collected and sorted humanitarian aid containing bottled water, baby food, milk, hermetically sealed food, sanitary materials, plastic eat ware and drink ware, candles, lighters and clothes, while students in Tuzla collected aid to fill two vans to be delivered to Red Cross in Tuzla.
AUBiH students are in daily contact with terriotorial crisis teams with which they will organize further action in helping families cleaning the houses and surroundings. With the aim to help affected people, AUBiH professors, staff and students call all citizens to join the humanitarian action to help endangered people.
