American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AUBiH) continues the series of highly visited lectures on the current economic issues as part of its recently launched Business Club.
The AUBiH organizes a lecture on the topic "How to export to the U.S. and do business with American partners." Guest speakers are experts from the Economics Department of the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo: g. Lian VonWantock, Economic Advisor, d. Erin Kotheimer, deputy economic adviser, d. Matthew Fullerton, economic and commercial officer, and g. Edhem Brankovic,trade specialists. They will be addressing the broad audience members of the Business Club and present the possibility of doing business with the UnitedStates, the role of the U.S. Embassy in connecting companies from BiH with partners in the United States. They will be presenting in specific the practical aspects of the so-called "General System of preferences" (GSP) for the export of products from BiH to the USA. It is a strategic program designed for the improvement of economic growth in developing countries through preferential duty-free imports to the U.S. for 4,800 products from 129 countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina. We need o mention that the U.S. has recently produced preferential tariff treatment of products originating in Bosnia and Herzegovina until August 2013. Lecturers will be interested to offer companies from BiH a detailed 'road map and tools' that will help them take full advantage of GSP benefits programs, and to establish stable cooperation with U.S. partners.
This is the twelfth lecture from the beginning of 2013th, as a part of efforts made by AUBiH to establish a productive interconnections between business, governments and academia.
