A retired Brigadier General Enes Husejnović participated in the NATO Integrity Building Conference that took place in Washington from March 5th to 7th, 2019. The theme of the conference was Building capable and resilient institutions for strengthening our Partnership. The conference was opened by Alejandro Alvargonzález, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy.
Representatives of 32 NATO member states, partner countries and international organizations, including the European Union, the United Nations and the World Bank, discussed about opportunities to promote better governance, accountability and transparency in the defense and security sector.
A Former Canadian Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Chief of Staff Plans, Allied Joint Force Command Naples, the Head of the Agency for Fight against Corruption of Albania and General Husejnović participated in the panel entitled Importance of Leadership and Role of Individuals in building integrity and prevention of corruption.
