US Vice-President Joseph Biden will be visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, May 19th, 2009. Within his visit to South-Eastern Europe, our country is the first country Vice-President Biden will visit in the region between May 19th and 22nd. Following the visit to BiH, he will travel to Serbia and then to Kosovo, as stated on the White House website.
According to the press release from the White House issues on Friday, May 15th, Vice-President Biden will first meet the three-member BiH Presidency, and the coalition in power.
“Vice-President Biden looks forward to the time he will be spending with Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, as well as with Haris Silajdžić, member of the BiH Presidency, whom he has known for a number of years now. He will address the BiH Parliament, and then spend some time at the US Embassy to BiH”, as stated in the White House press release.
Visiting our country, Vice-President Biden will be accompanied with Javier Solana, the High Representative of the European Union for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, and Valentin Inzko, the High Representative of the international community in BiH.
