EXPRESSED CONDOLENCES TO THE VICTIMS AT KAPIJA

Eddie Bernice Johnson, member of U.S. Congress and a proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina addressed the students of the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday evening via video link. At the beginning of her address Mrs. Johnson told the students in Tuzla that she is familiar with the significance of May 25th, the anniversary of the massacre over the youth of Tuzla, and she used this occasion to express her sincere condolences to our students and all the citizens of our country. She also expressed her satisfaction for having a chance to interact with the students at AUBIH, the University she supported from the beginning. She stated that she would happy to visit AUBIH and our country. Mr. Denis Prcić, AUBIH President, made an introductory note, in which he introduced the students to Mrs. Johnson’s political activism.

Eddie Bernice Johnson spoke about the function and activities of U.S. Congress, Senate and other governmental institutions in the USA with regards to current domestic and international issues. She specifically elaborated the commitment of U.S. Government to the issues of modern IT and other technologies, as well as the development of the infrastructure. Mrs. Johnson shared the experiences USA had in formation and division of funds for the purpose of improving the modern technologies. Those experiences are significant in a way that AUBIH students are given an insight on how to solve the problems awaiting them in the business world.

After the address, Mrs. Johnson answered the questions made by AUBIH students. They were mostly interested in the current political, economical and technological flows in the USA. During the conversation Mrs. Johnson highlighted her activism in Friends of Bosnia Club, and an excellent cooperation she has with Bosnian associations in the USA.
